Uniqlo UT Collection - Keith Haring

Blackpool's Comedy Carpet / Street Art / Largest Disco Ball in Europe. Images by Hollie.

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to get involved with Uniqlo's new UT T-shirt Collection, featuring designs by Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

I was offered one of the t-shirts from the new UT Collection, so I went for this orange Keith Haring number featuring one of this iconic designs on the front. I tested out their new video app, UT Camera and shot 3 short clips wearing my Keith Haring t-shirt around some of my favourite artwork and installations in my local area. It was a refreshing change to make these super easy videos loops and a nice way of sharing on social media rather than just posting images. Plus the results were pretty entertaining!

Locations - All 3 locations I chose can be found in my hometown of Blackpool. The Comedy Carpet is a huge space filled with famous quotes and sayings by comedians from around the globe, designed by Gordon Young. The second piece can be found just behind the Winter Gardens, I know little about this piece but I do know it's really stunning. And finally, the biggest disco ball in Europe can be found on the South Promenade and looks pretty spectacular in the dark with the nearby lights reflecting off it.

As well as the launch of their new app, Uniqlo are running a competition to win 2 x VIP tickets to Lovebox festival. All you have to do is download the Uniqlo UT Camera app and get involved.  Upload your clips using the app and tag them with the hashtags #UT_LDN and #UT_CAMERA. You can visit the Uniqlo UT Camera hub to view my videos and browse the rest of the gallery.

The full UT Collection is available here.

Thank you to Uniqlo for asking me to be involved the UT Collection project.

  9. I really like the 80's vibe from his artwork. Looks pretty good on a shirt and not just panels. I've been wanting to take my art and put on to some shirts and sweaters but not to sure how to do that just yet.
It's cool to see you all have art installations over there. They all look great. The disco ball kinda reminds me of "the bean" over here in the states, Chicago specifically.
How much area does the quotes one take up? With the angle of the picture it looks like it's HUGE! I'm sure it is though. That one seems pretty fun to stroll around on and look at.
One thing I definitely miss about Denver is the amount of art you come by everyday. Especially in the district we were living in was very artsy.
Those are nice sunglasses, what are they?

    Here's the New Balance.

Don't think I will be getting them though. I think once the time comes to get some new sneakers I don't think they will be available.
Mustard is definitely my favorite sock color as well. When I first got a pair from River Island I wore them so much. Might need to replace them by the end of the year. Probably go with River Island again unless you have any suggestions?

Yeah american UO just doesn't do it for me. You're definitely right when you say cheesy. I feel the same, and I couldn't agree with you more on the grass is greener on the other side. I definitely like the clothes and more the shoes from the shops over there. Smart shoes, not something you can find with ease over here. I'm not big on department stores to much although I do tend to find some nice products in Macy's. Blazers especially.

Dang man! I'm liking all the watches you sent me. Which one are you leaning towards? I like Bison, Black/Nut and Slate. Although I suppose if I were to actually buy one I would go with Black/Nut because I feel brown or tan bands are more versatile then whites, beiges, and grey. They look like a good quality. Nice to see they have an actual leather ban. I really like the simple and classy look of them.
I've been wanting to pick up this watch.

Looks a tad cheap and i'm not liking the band to much but do I like the LED display. I think it's rad.
It'll be nice to switch it up from my vintage casio from time to time.

Thanks fro the feedback on the car illustration! I'm glad you like it. I made a tumblr specifically for them.
www.vehiclesbymatthewhoss.tumblr.com Check it out if you'd like. I also posted up a vintage Lamborghini. I'm updating two pieces every Sunday and 1 piece on the blog every sunday or so.
    Hope you like it.
Cool we agree there on the Saab. I actually came across one here in Texas on craigslist for a decent price. It was bit of a fixer upper. If I had the extra money I would have probably bought it, But not in any situation to get a car right now.
To bad you can't remember the inside. I honestly haven't even thought of looking into pictures of the interior. I like to imagine it has a real clean and simple 80's interior. Nice and plasticy. haha.

Looking forward to seeing that van!

  10. The colourist used stripping chemical stuff, don't know the exact name for it. It still damaged my hair a little bit but not as much as bleaching would have.

I love Hollie's hair! I have seen her in red and love it.
