Nike Free Run+

As my royal blue New Balance 420s are now reserved for everyday use I've been on the lookout for a new pair of running trainers for a while. Several tweets and conversations later (thanks mostly to Isabelle and her in depth posts about what to wear when cycling to work) the Nike Free Run's seem to be coming up tops. A couple of my friends give them the thumbs up and apparently Hollie has just bought a bright  purple pair; she's in Florida at the moment and got them in one of the outlets.

I'm looking for something that's lightweight, versatile and good enough for everyday nipping to the shops vibes. The bright colours available doesn't hurt either. Above are the +2 and +3 versions, I reckon I'm swaying towards the black & green and the acid yellow versions.

Is there any other running trainers you guys would recommend or have you any experience with the Free Run? I'm only a light jogger so I'm thinking these would be spot on.

  1. I too am on the lookout for a trainer... I've finally decided I need to start exercising, sitting on my ass all day in front of the computer is starting to take its toll. Of course I don't have any exercise gear so like any moment in life, I am turning this into a shopping opportunity. Thinking of waiting until my Dad goes to the US next though - the outlets are amazingly cheap!!

  2. These are actually nice running trainers. I find it so hard to find some really good ones. I have a pair now, but funky colours like these would be lovely. :)

  4. I see so many people at my gym wearing these, and if I wasn't obsessed with my Fila toe shoes, I would buy a pair.

I too like the green and black combo ones, but I especially like the last blue ones! I don't own a pair of trainers since leaving school, and even then I rarely did P.E... couldn't stand it! Not the competitive type for sports I don't think.

I did see a man, several times actually, the same one, running bare foot around town! I'm not sure why he does this, does running bare foot benefit you in any way? He's brave though, gets some right funny looks!

  7. I've always disliked this kind of trainers, don't know why..they're ugly all the way around, any brand, any model for me hahaah. Yeah well i'm not much of an athletic girl so i'm ok with a pair of converse when it comes to shoes, hahahahah.

    xx
