Penfield Tote Bag

Following on from the Chester Wallace post last week is this Penfield white & navy stripe tote, I recently picked it up in Urban Outfitters for £10. Granted it's not exctally what I was after but for the price and the design I'm pretty happy. I would have preferred an additional shoulder strap and possibly leather handles too, but the natural coloured canvas cotton ones will do just fine.

I would definitely class this as unisex and I'm pretty sure my girlfriend will be nabbing in somewhere down the line. It's a pretty roomy bag measuring at around 15" x 15", so there's enough room for a gym kit, couple of books and some food shopping.

Over than a few small homeware bits this is probably the only bargain I've picked up of late, do you guys have any to report?

  1. my bag philosophy used to be something big and roomy. this fits right in. but regardless of that, this is a good summer bag that'll fit everything you need for a day at the beach. and at £10, this is a pretty good deal.

Sweet bag, and the message on the back is a nice touch - it's interesting to know who made it and how it's helping them. It's really good for a tenner! I've seen some totes, especially similar sized ones for getting on £30 or more!

I have no bargains really, but my jeans are perhaps my best investment of the month along with some dresses... become a tad dress obsessed as of late

  5. Gah! My bag collection is so boring. I would like something like this for groceries.

  10. Oooh I like! This would be perfect for me, I'm always carting around a million things but my only qualm with totes is the lack of compartments in bag, makes it difficult locating particular item. Speaking of homeware though, I visited liberty of london last week and although I couldn't afford any of it, it was nice just admiring the brilliant collection of kitchenware

  14. Really digging the nautical vibe from it. I see what you mean about the leather straps. It would have made the bag perfect I think, quality and aesthetic wise. I've been wanting to pickup a bag myself. A nice leather rectangular one. As for totes, I'll just stick to making those. haha. Pretty neat message printed there too.
