Campbell Cole '16 Simple Collection

Nottingham's Campbell Cole once again serves up some minimal leather accessories for their new Spring Summer '16 Simple Collection. Never straying too far from their staple shapes, rather refining and tweaking from season-to-season, the British-made Simple Collection features a key wrap, card holder, coin pouch and bi-fold wallet. 

A couple of intriguing new features have been added; a paracord lanyard and zip puller, as well as that sweet honeycomb vegetable tanned leather and polka-dot print. Find out more about Campbell Cole with our Conversation series.

Note Apparel SS15

Off the back of their extremely well received debut collection, Note Apparel release their warmer-weather offerings for Spring/Summer 15. Taking stock of which items worked well in the previous season, they've listened to feedback and updated some of their carry-over pieces, as well as bringing in a few new styles. The collection features relaxed utility jackets and trousers, cotton hoodies, illustrated + plain tees, camera accessories and their popular beanie + bucket hats.

It's all stuff I want to wear, and stuff that fits with the rest of my wardrobe pretty easily. That's the Birmingham-based label's aim – to create items which don't fight against your other favourite brands, rather to sit nicely along side. Nice one fellas.

Jack Spade SS14 with Pro Surfer Mikey DeTemple

East Coast Pro Surfer, turned Filmmaker Mikey DeTemple stars in this short film (below) in partnership with US menswear brand (and B&S favourite) Jack Spade, for their Spring/Summer '14 collection. DeTemple has dominated the pro surf scene since he was a teenager, with his "classic yet rebellious" style. But when he's not competing, the four-time East Coast Champion turns his hand to producing and direction. His work is known for the use of unique cinematography, beautiful soundtracks and capturing a sense of true freedom; fitting perfectly with the Jack Spade's vision.

Above are images from the Jack Spade SS14 campaign, which is inspired by the seaside towns outside  of New York City and below is a preview of DeTemple's new short film entitled, "Now For Then". Enjoy.

Jack Spade Holiday Lookbook

It's been a Christmas overload around here for a couple of weeks but I promise there's only one or two (one being a Coca-Cola #GoodDeeds update) festive posts left now. To be fair though, I've got really into it this year. I've found loads more interesting gifts for my f&f and I'm very much looking forward to all the Christmas food. They'll be at least six big roast potatoes on my plate come the big day.

Inventory AW13 Looks

Another set of cracking looks by Inventory Magazine, this time for their AW13 catalogue. Each look uses layers to combat the cold with a mixture of Margaret Howell, Engineered Garments, orSlow, John Smedley, Arc'teryx Veilance and footwear from Red Wing and Tricker's. Topo Design x Woolrich Collection

Colorado based outdoors brand Topo Designs have hooked up with American fabric specialists Woolrich Woolen Mills to create a small collection, featuring some of their most popular products. The collection includes three pieces, the Kettlersack backpack, Duffle and handy Dopp Kit, which are all using Woolrich's distinctive woolen fabric and Topo's clever and practical design.

Each piece features a water resistant coated pack liner, durable red YKK zippers and signature bright coloured parachute hooks and are all constructed in Denver, Colorado. After featuring their Travel Bag on the blog a few months back it's been great to see Topo going from strength to strength, working alongside other established US brands, creating quality American made products. I'm also excited to see what's next for their range of apparel, the turquoise Fleece Jacket is something else. Topo, you rock.

Harry Stedman Debut Lookbook

I was really pretty blown away when I opened up the debut lookbook by London based menswear brand Harry Stedman last week. The lookbook follows the story of a young Harry Stedman, getting down with all the typical stuff fellas once got up to. The outcome is very charming indeed and by far some of the most authentic feeling 1950/60s inspired photography and styling I have seen to date. The lookbook doesn't feature one particular season of Harry Stedman's collections, rather bringing together the best of their stuff thus far. 

Really cracking stuff indeed, less about trend and more about hardwearing staples. I'm really inspired by the fit and cut of the collection, which takes influence from classic American and European menswear. I've also had a tip-off that their take on the classic white t-shirt is very hard to be beaten; so there's another brand to throw into the mix for my quest for the perfect fit.
