Thought I'd Give It A Go

Made in USA Dockers with Unqilo shirt & Vans, couple of quality geetars, Victorinox Army knife which is hands down one of my favourite Christmas gifts, Mr. Cooper's very tasty marmalade, Wigwam socks & boots, Monday morning was heavy on the layering, Morris the Mule memo dude sits pride of place on my desk.

Instagram that is. I've only just got a smart phone so this stuff is new to me. Not sure if I'll blog like this again or I'll keep it confined to the occasional Twitter share but it's worth a go. These are all from this week. I'm still messing about with the effects, so most of these do look pretty different.

What do you think, I don't think it will be a weekly thing anyway.

  1. I've never used instagram and I don't think i'd ever really want to. I think you did a nice job on these although I think a lot of pictures look so much more better digitally and whatnot. Instagram does suite some photos really well but I think for instance the photo of the jar would look so much cooler if it was a nice digital photo shot for maybe more like a product ad. I definitely dig the feel of your photos and content on here but it would also be cool to show some instagram photos here and there. Again, you did a good job on these photos man!

thanks for the PS tips btw!

I always enjoy posts like these, they seem quite personal. I've been tempted more by Twitter lately though, to use for the blog but the thought of people who I know at uni, work and so forth knowing about my blog makes me feel so incredibly awkward for some reason! I also need a high tech phone with all those fancy gadgets as my current doesn't even get onto tinternet quickly!

The photograph of your shoes is my favourite I think, oh and of course the last with your jazzy paper holder.

I do treat myself to a baguette a couple of times a month, they're only a pound though and the place in town makes them fresh so they're nice and warm too. Also I do treat myself to a Boots meal deal if I have enough points on my boots card that is! Can't beat a bit of M&S though, that is pure luxury!

Haha, nice quote! Alan is great, even when he went through his toblerone addiction.

  9. I just hate when people ONLY post cell phone pics on their blog. But these are all nice pictures!

  10. I love instagram! I think it works really well as an accompaniment to a blog, my blog posts are usually more thought out, and instagam has a spontinaity that adds a nice balance.

    Love these photos!

  11. I really want instagram! I'm gutted there's no blackberry equivalent as I'd love to share all the random bits and bobs that happen throughout the day. Love the last photo especially.

  13. I think once you figure out all the settings (and the appropriate use of blur) you will become addicted to Instagram like I am... Although it's not really designed for taking photos to put on blogs etc - the software compresses the image and makes it kind of blurry at big magnifications like these. Best looked at in-app.

  15. Love the shirt/jumper/shirt/coat shot. I think Instagram is great for quick details. Not that I have it... Still haven't jumped on the smartphone bandwagon yet!

  16. I LIKE THIS!!! It's just a fun way to mess with everyday shots and it is more personal and I like the warm feel the photos have.
