Secret Sales at Psyche Clothing

We're right slap bang in the middle of sale season, and like many of us these days I never really buy anything at full price - I don't mind waiting for that extra bit of discount (that is until my blooming size sells out...). One such retailer who've just hit their Summer Sale is Psyche, a premium clothing department store based in Middlesbrough, North East. Psyche's reputation as one of the best clothing retailers in the country was recognised internationally in 2012 by Vogue, who included them in their Top 100 British Stores - that's some good going!

Their current brand list includes some Buckets' favourite such as; Barbour, Common People, Edwin, Ralph Lauren, Oliver Spencer, Loake + Universal Works. With their Summer Sale happening right now it's the perfect time to have a gander at their store. They also stock a huge range of womenswear.

Officially their sale has already started, but from the 1st August Psyche are offering an additional 10% off the sale if you shop through a mobile device. The promotional code will visible on their desktop homepage, but it will only work on your phone or tablet. Sneaky stuff indeed.

Let me know if you decide to shop with them!

This post is in partnership with Psyche. Thank you for taking the time to support the businesses that make this blog happen.

Store Visit - Peggs & Son, Brighton

Whilst I was in Brighton I took the opportunity to visit menswear store Peggs & son. I've been following their site and social networks for a while now and it was great have finally have a nose around in person. Stocking a wide range of contemporary and street brands such as Bedwin & The Heartbreakers, Folk, HUF, Norse Projects, Nudie, Obey and YMC along side more higher price point and cult status items from Buzz Rickson's Creep, Fidelity, Mister Freedom, The Hill-Side, Levi's Vintage Clothing, Lightening Bolt, Oliver Spencer, Porter, RRL, Tender.

This one a gem, it seems like menswear stores like Peggs & son are a rare breed in Brighton so it's definitely worth for stopping by if you're ever in the area. It's a stone's throw away from the beach, win/win.

5 Years of Goodhood

The Goodhood Store of London recently celebrated 5 years in business with an exclusive range of products in collaboration with some of their favourite brands and people. The range has been created with their specifically to the store's tastes. I love a bit of Goodhood and here's a few things that took my fancy. My favoruite piece is probably the Norse Projects polka dot shop jacket, tasty stuff. There's tons more ace stuff in the collection, check the whole range out here.

Enjoy what's left of your weekend dudes, and remember to support your local.

Buckets & Spades - Open For Business

If you have a keen eye or you follow me on Twitter you may have seen that I've taken the plunge and opened an Esty shop. I've been wanting to for a while, over the last couple of years I've been collecting small home goods, old advertising stuff and stationary. To start with I've got a few vintage milk bottles from in and around the UK. All the products that I'll be selling have been individually sourced and hopefully over the next few weeks I'll be uploading some more interesting odds & sods. I've installed the shop on my side bar on the right so do please take a look.

Currently I'm shipping to the UK and US, hopefully my American chums will be into a bit of British paraphernalia.

I'm a new comer to the Etsy world so if anyone has any advice and tips please do comment below, that would be a massive help.

What's New With Slowdownjoe

 Midori Brass Pencil
 The Superior Labour Shoulder Bag
Lovat Lambswool Blanket
By now you guys will know I'm a sucker for stores like Slowdownjoe, they usually stock products that I have no use for (I'm looking at camping goods when I've never slept outdoors in my life) but also have well designed products in nice packaging. And that's why I like this sort of stuff, I'm obsessed with design and all the little design decisions that come with it. "Why did they use that font and size, how come they used that colour, why is there a funny label or handle on that side"....are they sort of things that generally run through my mind. I don't really need to know the answers but knowing a bit more about products that you're going to spend 50 sheets on is always a plus, even if you don't have use for it right now.

Slowdownjoe is a new shop to me, they're an online store that sells "Good honest goods". If you're into this sort of thing then go check it out. Report back and tell let me know what tickles your fancy.
