Illustrated Icons by Every_Hey + Weekend Links

After what seems like a fairly stressful week all I want to do is share something that simply made me smile. Have you seen Hey Studio's Every_Hey account on Instagram?! If you haven't you really should! It's square-after-square of beautifully minimal illustrations of well known film, music, TV, gaming and cultural icons.

They're just straight up ace. And so are Saturdays. I'm going to get into the new copy of Umbrella magazine with a big ol' coffee - no more plans! Enjoy your weekend.

Starbucks Illustrated Mason Jars + Weekend Links

Starbucks went and made buying their Cold Brews a little more interesting by inviting Californian artist Steven Harrington to create a 60-piece collection of hand-painted mason jars. Each of the jars features one of Harrington's own signature cartoon illustrations, which reflects the laid back LA lifestyle. I'm sure looking forward to checking out more of his work!

We've been catching up on a month's worth of blog posts that we missed while on our holidays, same this weekend Please do send some links our way of your posts via the comments or on Twitter, I don't want to miss any!

Stationery aficionados, Present & Correct, have set up shop inside all of Albam's stores across London, for the next three weeks. A small selection of their new and vintage products been selected to be displayed along side Albam's much celebrated contemporary menswear. Click here for details.

It's been a little quiet around here this week as I've been away on assignment (working my way through the menu at Top Dogs in Soho!). Enjoy your weekend - I'm sure looking forward to winding down a little.

Seinfeld Pin Badges + Weekend Links

For the occasions you just want to represent a sitcom on your collar, there's these Seinfeld pin badges by Georgia Perry. Hopefully a Curb Your Enthusiasm set comes along soon, now that I'd like to see! Which sitcom would you like to see as a set of pins?

I've not had much time to myself this week; I've have fallen behind on work, emails, replying to comments and eating healthy. So I'm hoping Sunday is the perfect start to the new week - getting all my stuff organised + prepared, just how I like it. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Oh, one last thing! We've been working on a Buckets & Spades Newsletter, you can sign up ---> here.

Euro Bus on Instagram + Weekend Links

Some weeks I enjoy Instagram more than others. Constant scrolling for 10 minutes before bed, then seven hours later when I wake up is a bit weird when you think of it. Your brain's not really up to much at that point. Sometimes you just need a blast of colour to take you by surprise and shake you out of that zombie state. Sound familiar? If so then check out Euro Bus on Instagram - which simply documents colourful art on the side of buses from across Europe. We found this account via Instagram's own blog.

Weekend vibes time my friends, enjoy it whatever you get up to!

The IDMC° Liverpool Map + Weekend Links

With Liverpool being a city close to my heart, I was very pleased to hear that my friends at IDMC° (Independent Map Company) are about to release Issue #1 of their city map guide. The first in the series is dedicated to one of the north's most culturally relevant cities, showcasing its thriving independent scene - including coffee shops, design stores, restaurants, boutique hotels and menswear shops. I was invited to be a part of Weavers Door's Wardrobe feature last year, and I'm thrilled for them to be included in the map. Pre-order a copy here.

Enjoy your weekend my friends! It's ice cream weather right?!

Colours & Lines Illustrations by James Oconnell + Weekend Links

These "Colour & Line" illustrations by Manchester artist James Oconnell certainly caught my attention this week. How cool are they?! They'd make really great individual prints, and are a brilliant example of how you can use simple lines and colours effectively. See more from this project here.

Best to keep things brief today, as most people's attention will be on enjoying Easter weekend with family, getting out for an early run or cycle, or grabbing drinks with friends. The only certainty for me is that I'll have both chocolate and beer in the mix. And don't get my started with the DIY...Do you have any plans for the looooong weekend? Happy Easter!
