Fashion Weeks A/W 10/11 - Menswear Shows

Burberry - Liked most of it, didn't push any boundaries but it worked well together. Minus the boots.

Bottega Veneta - Future Teddy Boys, loved the hi shine shows with white socks.

Dries Van Noten - Exquisite tailoring from what we expect, highlight was the clashing raglan sleeves on shirts and outerwear.

Romain Kremer - The oddball, but that's why I liked it, Robocop meets circus clown.

Lanvin - One of my favorites by far, world traveller chic. Can't keep my eyes off the technical fabrics and billowing silhouette

Hermes - I want it all please, time to try the silk scarf vibe again.

Paul Smith - Taking on a darker approach this season, still had plenty of character, with slight Victorian undertones. Ps capes are everywhere.

Tim Hamilton - Another futuristic offering, the way that blazer is cut on the right is just excellent. Leather trousers made cool?!

Rick Owens - Super stripped down and minimal, with the classic white being replaced with muted browns and such. Works for me, especially the longer skirt type shape. Should I?

So what is your top pics? Lots of interesting small details, as always with menswear, that's why I love it. Lots of small trends emerging, what do we think we break through to the mainstream?

Lanvin a/w 09 Ad Campaign

I'm not 100% sure what I think about these, I do quite like the weird sinister undertones, or are they just messing with us? I'm 100% about the colour palette though and styling though. Meow.

Yey or ney?

Converse x Lanvin 76'

To celebrate the 120th anniversary of Lanvin, they have collaborated with what seems like unlikely partnership with Converse. Both have years and years of history and both have worldwide followings, so maybe they actually go together like peanut butter and jam. The "en Bleu" 76 leather model has been designs using Lanvin elegance and Converse's classic sporty shape. Appropriately there are only 120 pairs, which were released 10th September. So if you do manage to grab a slice of history, you're a very lucky so-and-so.

Alber Elbez x Caran d'Ache

"To mark the first 20 years of Supracolor®, the Geneva company has produced an exclusive box containing the 120 original colours."

This Limited Edition of 1988 pieces reflects the 20 years since Supracolor® was launched. It is the result of a meeting between two independent companies, Lanvin and Caran d’Ache. It is decorated with sketches kindly lent by the man TIME Magazine voted one of the most influential personalities in the world in 2007: Alber Elbaz, the Artistic Director of the world’s oldest fashion house. He loves to make tiny sketches during fittings to alter the details of his collections. "I sit in front of the mirrors and I draw what I see. My Supracolor® pencils are not just useful - they are essential."

The elegant creativity of the "20 years of Supracolor® by Alber" demonstrates the two companies’ passion for beauty and their determination to pass on their expertise to successive generations."

Who wouldn't want to recieve this as a gift, that is the question. Caran d'Ache are a established art/stainonary supply company from Swizerland. You can see that they are no middle-of-the-road pen company, they are the real deal.

Other than making excuiste statinonary with incredible finishes, check out the pens.

They also have really great imagry on their site:
