I know folks, I know, it's been ages since my last proper outfit post, in fact the last one was last December! I've had a few issues with locations, cameras and photographers, Hollie started a full-time job and it's been tricky ever since. But enough excuses, onwards with my first outfit post on 2014! Along with a lightweight jacket + plain white t-shirt, this Albam Athletic Sweat from 2012 is all I've needed lately, it's one of the most versatile items I own. They produce a variation of this staple sweat each season - Here's the SS14 version. Generally I wear simple/practical items for everyday (be that working from home/meetings/cycling/gym/errands), so brands like Albam really do fit the bill nicely.
Opting for comfy footwear is just as important - Free Run or Flyknit have been my go-to for a few months but these lightweight Nike Janoski Max, a fusion between a skate + running shoe, make for the perfect partner to the sweatshirt. I'd wear this to run my daily errands as much as I would for a meeting, that's how I do!
You'll also notice I'm sporting a new pair of Ray-Ban specs, the people at MyOptique mailed them over, along with my new prescription lens - I'm pretty pleased with my choice. It's the first time I've gone for a round shape frame, but it makes a nice change from my old (and tired) looking boxy ones. More good news? ReplyDeleteAre these the rigid selvedge 511's? If so, they're the best jeans I've had in the last couple of years but my pair is absolutely battered. Levi's have stopped making them so if you know of a spare 32x32 going, give us a shout ;)

DeleteYes they sure are, the 511 selvedge. I got them on ASOS a few months ago and they fit like a dream. Think a 511 selvedge is rare actually, I was speaking to someone at Levi's and they said they didn't even know they made them. They fit a treat, mine are 34x32. Not seem them anywhere since they went half price on asos!

ReplyDeleteIt's funny how everyone gravitates to one look or set of clothes they find most comfortable and appealing. Mine is a pair of black jeans from TopMan, white Superga trainers, grey t-shirt, and my favourite jumper from Sunspel. Exactly what I'm wearing as I type this...

Looking good! Loving the new specs, they really suit you. In fact the whole outfit looks good. I have entered the give away too so fingers crossed.
