Joerg Marx's Field

Last week me and Hollie took a trip into the countryside, we drove through forests and hills, and passed through numerous small towns and villages. We had a loose plan and stopped off at a nice little pub somewhere in the Forest of Bowland. We had a lovely beer called Double Nelson but sadly the food wasn't up to much. Never the less we did have a nice day.

Joerg Marx's Field project fits in quite nicely with this recent trip into the greens. Marx's work takes you through some of the more simple things in life, be that trips into the woods, farmer's fields, the beach nature. This project takes the viewer through the fields of an undisclosed location via some rolling lines & curves and extreme close ups. The North of England isn't quite like this but it definitely does equal its natural beauty.

In under half and hour from where I live I can be in the countryside, if you drive 20 minutes from where you live where do you end up?

For anyone reading this that doesn't live in the UK; our country is quite sparse other than the major cities and towns, from my house you can be in the countryside after a 20 minute drive and it has to be said we don't take enough advantage of this.

  1. Beautiful photos! I love the lines and curves on the fields. It reminds me of a Japanese zen garden :) Just lovely!

    Wow, beautiful photos.
I can get to open countryside if I walk 20mins from my house. If I drove 20mins I'd reach another town!

  3. I've never seen anything like this. The area where I live is weird. Texas is known for farming, cattle & the like.. but I live in a suburb of a big city. You can see farmland, and cattle one minute, and a sea of rooftops the next.

  5. The pictures are insane, they almost seem un real.
20 minutes from where I am you'll end up in the states capital. I don't live in the countryside, it's more of living in the mountains.

  6. Really interesting structures. I guess these kind of fields are rather in huge areas like the US.
When I drive 20 minutes I can be either half way to the the coast or halfway to London.

if i drive 20 minutes from my house, i'll end up in the countryside. it's weird to think about, cause i live in the city centre, and it's quite urban here

  12. love these pics. It would depend which way i drove. there is only one road out of Felixstowe and in 20 mins i could be in Woodbridge which is a lovely little town, or Ipswich which is bigger but not so nice. If i drove the wrong way i would end up in the middle of the Sea!!

  13. Joergs work is beautiful, thank you for sharing! Your day trip sounds like fun even if the pub food wasn't the best.

If I drive twenty minutes from my home I'd be at the local mall... However if I drive 45 minutes I'm right by the ocean.

  15. I end up in the middle of fields. Much different from the North though, it's very flat here and you can see for miles. These photographs are quite amazing, I am looking at his website now and I think I am falling in love.
