Nike Pre Montreal Racer

I don't think a month goes without me mentioning a pair of trainers on the blog, I can't get enough.  I'm constantly browsing but never really know what I'm looking for, hence why I don't buy many. This pair of Nike Pre Montreal Racer in vintage green (hmm doesn't seem very green to me) caught my eye and are one of my favourites at the moment. It's mostly to do with my love of turquoise and old sportswear and the way they make this 1973 design seem so fresh.

When it comes to trainers I like 'em sporty, I've never been one for the terrace casual styles that Adidas  and Nike do so well with court styles. I prefer them with a mixture of premium suede and nylon/mesh, heavy cushioning and a sportier sole. All in all I do still want maximum comfort, something I can go for a quick jog in if it's called upon. I could forego the vintage treatment on the Racer soul but it does add a certain characteristic that is hard to achieve if you don't have 20 years spare to keep them in your attic.

Are they are trainers that are taking your fancy at the moment?

  1. Massive thank you for introducing me to Tres Bien. The shop is amazing. I really REALLY want a pair of shoes like this. I tend to take a US 7.5... once I get paid I'm going to get a pair. They are incredible! We have matching taste in clothes I think. xx

  3. Dang! those are perfect! I've been eyeing some of these but never really committed to getting them. After seeing these photos I think that might change. The vintage and sporty-ness of them is great. The sleek profile will work good on the pedals/toe straps on my bike too.

Nike has some pretty cool looking indoor soccer shoes. They're a bit flashy but the designs are pretty nice.

  5. I quite like the vintage treatment on these. Sometimes the pre-oxidised soles just look terrible (the vintage Blazers being case in point).

And on the cupcake front, I wish I knew! Was bought for me.

These are indeed very you, I enjoy your trainers posts and all of your posts actually, each item you select is for a reason, you can tell you're passionate for what you choose, describing the material, shape, colour so well and not just because you simply 'want it' - which is nice.

Yeah I wouldn't say those were green, but maybe vintage green is more of a blue? They will definitely match your wall that is for sure!

  12. These are so reminiscent of my high school pair of Nikes! And they WERE actually mint green, though I do love your turquoise pair.
