Brighton Retreat

So I spent a few days in Brighton last week with my mate Nic, weather was so-so but times were grand. Here's some snaps I took, rather random and may not make much sense but here goes.

2 many glasses
Why doesn't this still exist?!
Beautiful bandstand area on the prom
Nic's firetruck
Beach donut
Amazing chair display in the local museum
Lovely little street where every house is painted a different colour
Would you use Nosegay?
Everyone loves melons
Meet Nic

I didn't take an amazing amount of photos but me and Hollie are going away to Llandudno for a few days next week over the English Bank Holiday. So I'm sure I'll be taking even more then.

Has anyone been/going away this summer?

  1. Great selection, really sums up the charm of the place. Love the tiny dog graffiti especially!

  3. These are great shots, Mat. I love that donut. It's funny, we were meant to go to Brighton Sunday, hence missing the bloggers' yard sale thing. I love that pier, every time we've gone the light is so different. I once went - without camera - and it was just the most beautiful twilight misty rainy blues and pinks, so foggy and atmospheric. Like being inside a neon cloud.

And you know, it's so true: everybody does love melons.

  8. I definitely recommend this cafe (which doubles as an art gallery) in Bewtsy-y-Coed, which is near llandudno. It's called Alpine Cafe - amazing food and art all at once.

We went on these cable cars which take you real high up the moutains...if you go on this don't do what I stupidly did and FORGET MY CAMERA!

I'll look forward to seeing your interpretation on a trip to llandudno and see your pics! have fun :)

That was from a craft fair a few Christmas's back - My mum bought it for me which was ace and I got it in my Christmas stocking (still getting them at the age of 25!) - Me and my brother do one for me mum now and Mum for Dad so we all get something to open :) Yes! Anyway - Lovely stuff - Ohh and that Railway does exist but it's not on stilts anymore! I wish they still had the stilts!
