Mjolk Spring/Sumer 2010 Collection

From the Mjolk s/s 2010 Lookbook. I'm always a fan of Mjolk's collections, as the consistently deliver fashion forward pieces in great fabrics, cuts and colours. It seems that everything really is getting more relaxed now and getting away from the super skinny jeans, we have been seeing less and less skinny jeans on the catwalk over the past year or so. For me this collection looks fresh with a classic Scandinavian cool to it, quite reminiscent of Acne. My personal favourite look out of these is the outfit with the loose off white top and grey marl pants.

  3. This collection makes me feel absolutely relieved - relieved because as you mentioned, it has a very relaxed feel. I was probably one of the few people who kept wishing ultra-skinny jeans would disappear for a while. The first, third and fifth look are all favorites of mine - they seem to have a bit of an androgynous feel to them.

  4. Love their subtle subversion of the traditional masculine silhouette with their lean(ish) tops and loose and large pants.

That first tee WILL be my SS10 staple.

  5. I'm glad I'm not the only one but i think this collection speaks to many people and has hit the nail on the head, it seems this is what everybody wants. as i said in the post, it's very Acne, which is as popular as ever.

xs - thanks, I'll keep up the tweeting, I didn't think anybody noticed.

DSI - I've been coming away from the uber skinny jeans for a while now, as xs says its chino time!

Cillian - i think this will both be our looks for ss10

  9. I have to agree, I'm ready for an alternative solution to the super skinny jeans. I'd like for skinny jeans to at least be stylish or acceptable, but I want something MORE than just the SUPER SKINNY'S. I think playing with shapes and volume in any type of clothing peice is becomming a bigger trend..But I'm excited about this loose mixed with fitted trend. I think carrot jeans could be cool, if they're done right. Kind of looser on the top and crotch, but skinnier toward the bottom. But like I said, it would have to be done right..

  10. well it looks like everyone is excited and inspired by the collection, simple when you think about it. also brings a much more grown up look into a younger market.

if anyone is interested Mjolk is stocked at ASOS.com, past season. also they have done collections for topman in the past so look out for more of them soon maybe, for the LENS.

SS - me too, i think we found our new look.

toto - easy to recreate, at a cheap price too.

james - snap, mine too, those trousers are awesome.

LIA - i have to agree, things are changing in the fashion world, on a more mainstream level. we should start a revolt! carrot jeans can easly be customised out of older straight or looser jeans.

    thanks for reading everyone.

  11. never heard of them, but the looks seem nice and clean and very wearable. my tailor and I have yet to crack the code for well-fitting voluminous pants. slim and sharp-fitting is his forte, somehow when I try to do volume with him, it doesn't come out as flattering.
