Be The Face of JD

jd sports menswear, king of trainers, the face of jd 2014, high street sportswear, nike

Have you got what it takes to become this year's main dude for sportswear retailer JD? The nationwide search is on, and this weekend is your last chance to get involved. The "King of Trainers" is looking for the new Face of JD and over the next few days the team are taking their traveling auditions to Birmingham and finishing off in London.

JD are searching for regular folk with a true sense of personal style - They're not looking for the next top supermodel, so if you think you can offer something a little bit different then head down there and give it some welly. If you impress the judges and get picked of the out then you might even get some free stuff from their latest stock, 'cos they're good like that. The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges and those faces will featured across their next nationwide campaign! Check out the video below for last year's winners.

If this sounds like your sort of thing then head down to the auditions on Saturday 15th at The Rainbow Venues, Birmingham or Sunday 16th at The Old Truman Brewery, London and give it a whirl.

Close Ups @ Bank

I was recently approached by Bank to look through the current stock to pick out some of my favourite items.  I've chosen to look at some of their more colourful and interesting close ups rather than plain of product shots. Buying clothes online is a tricky business, we all know this. It's hard to get the fit right, to get a proper feel for the fabric and quality so nice and clear close ups do help a bunch.

Above are a few of my favorite pieces which are all currently online. The cycling stitched chambray shirt would be a great nod to Olympic gold medalist Wiggo and the K-Way windbreaker is possibly what every person in Britain could do with, a waterproof. Superga trainers have been a firm favourite of mine for a few years, Hollie pointed out the other day that I'd suit this colour. I'm now quite tempted as my grey ones are on their last legs.

Close ups are just about the next best thing to seeing products in person. So do you prefer, Online or Offline?

Topman LENS S/S 10

As always, I'm super excited about this S/S seasons offering of Topman LENS collection. Designers involved this time round are Carolyn Massey, Mjolk, Dexter Wong and Kasper Harup-Hansen, who are joined by LENS newcomers Christopher Shannon and Dusty.

This is one collection in the high street diary I always have firmly marked in BIG letters.. LENS drops 18th Feb.
