Beer + Design | Skinner's Brewery Artists' Collection

Good design is paramount for good beer. Sure, a beer that tastes great will get noticed - eventually - but these days, tap rooms, bottle shops, and pubs are floor-to-ceiling with cans, bottles, and pumps. To stand out, you need a sharp look about you!

Cornish brewer Skinner's clearly agree. They've commissioned local illustrators, artists, and designers to recreate the labels for each of their beers. Six distinct designs feature in the new range, including work by Alex T Fraser, Rose Forshall, ASide, and Stevie Gee.

And, what an awesome job they've done. Emblazoned with brightly coloured artwork - reminiscent of everyone's favourite Hawaiian brewery, Kona - these bottles are going to leap from the shelf and look right at home in your fridge. Next time you're on the hunt for a new beer, make sure you track some down, especially the award winning Betty Stogs - a firm favourite in my local.
