Loveland Aleworks / Bank Holiday

It's Bank Holiday Weekend across the UK and that can only mean one thing, beer. Yes lovely lovely beer. It's the time where most people get an extra long weekend but everyone working in retail is still stuck behind the tills, I'm used to it now. I'll just be making the most of it when the clock hits 4:30, Sunday afternoon.

With beer in mind today feels like a good time to share Loveland Aleworks and some great branding by San Fran design agency Manual. Loveland are an independent microbrewery based in Colorado; Manual created the identity for the company through the vision its owner and the city's historical past as a railroad town. The taps above, which can be found in their "tasting room" are inspired by original 19th century railway signal levers. It's fair to say I'd like to drink some ale from a growler, all aboard!

What plans have you got for the weekend? Mine will mostly involve cycling and beer. Enjoy your long weekend guys, let's hope the weather holds out!

I always worked bank holidays at work but I didn't mind it really as it was always empty so I could go at my own pace haha. I would of preferred some time and half though!

I like the branding and the colour scheme here is great also. I always think whoever comes up with these designs are incredibly clever.

Ahh a bike ride sounds lovely. I'd love to get riding again, stopped when I was around 15 but I should pick it up again.

  7. Now I don't drink alcoholic beverages but man would it be cool to visit there! So clean and inspiring, I was surprised to see this is in Colorado. I'll have to look into the specifics and maybe stop by sometime. I reckon would really enjoy the state, specifically Denver.
I really like amber bottles, and with that font/logo and text color they look superb together.
Too bad you have to work but at least you will find some time still enjoy.

I know what you mean about the street style shots when you say to many people are already doing it very well as well as the shots being tricky. I really enjoy the style of photos and have tried it out on self portraits as well as Sue but just can't seem to get it right. Lighting seems to be everything and definitely location too. It's a bit too desert and bad looking around this neck of the woods in Texas to get them to look right.

I appreciate you snapping that van! Definitely look out for more if you're up to it. I'd love to see what you will find. It's quite fun too and I think you start gaining more of an appreciation for even the most simplest of cars, at least that's what happened to me. Surprisingly saw some nice vehicles around today whilst doing some errands (A Saab like the one I just posted!) and didn't even have my camera on me. I ought to invest into a bag of some sort.

Been meaning to ask how your bike has been. Riding it much? Found anything you'd like to replace on it foe efficiency or anything else? Or is pretty solid for your liking? You should check out www.prollyisnotprobably.com
It's my favorite cycling site specifically do to its Fixed gear target. I think you'll like it, even if it's just looking at pictures of all the beautiful bicycles.
I don't know if I mentioned to you but I was looking to get some better peddle straps, tires and a smaller gearing ratio. Now if only I could get around to that. Heck sadly I haven't been riding much anyways.
