Is Fruit The Answer?

I've been feeling really sluggish of late and I'm putting it down to the amount of bread I eat. I've been known to have 8 slices a day, which can't be good (it's wholemeal mind you). So when a mate of mine mentioned he's doing a bit of a detox and predominately eating fruit I thought it might be worth a go. I'm not go the whole hog but I am going to try it for a couple of days a week and see how I get on. I could do with a the extra energy to be honest. Has anyone else done any detoxing like this?

While searching for blenders and food processors online I came across this nifty little Wire Fruit Basket by Block, so up to now it's been a bit of a win/win.

If you use Bloglovin' you can now follow my blog here. The sun is finally out across the land rejoice! Have a nice weekend guys.

  1. Pretty cool, i'm on a bit of a fruit thing at the moment. A basket is a must, I'm the sorta' person who needs it in front of me to get me eating it, rather than hidden in the depths of the fridge!

  2. Hi, yes I've done fruit fasts before, every Monday for a few years. And sometimes for a week. Be prepared for a bit of a detox before the benefits though. Such as headaches.
It helped me in that it gave my system a rest and a bit more energy for healing.

Hmm, that's interesting - perhaps I'll have to try adding more fruits too.

  5. Our friend actually went on a detox/diet where she predominantly ate fruit but after we went to the gym she was all pale and felt worse for wear. So we persoanlly wouldn't recommend this detox. let us know how it goes though

  6. I neeeeed that fruit holder.

I'm not a fan of detoxing personally, but it may give your system the boost it needs before embarking on a more balanced diet all round!

  7. I've a cleanses that started out with fruit and veggies only. That part of it was only for one week, but yeah, I could tell a difference in my energy levels. I desperately need to do a cleanse again. I've been eating junk here and there, and I feel like crap.

    Cant hurt to try, right?

  8. another thing:: fruit has a lot of sugar, which can make you tired if you have too much of it. Maybe toss in a veggie here and there? :]

  10. I haven't but I know of a lot of people lately that gave up bread for one reason or other. Funny I've got a giveaway going on to win a Botanically infused body wrap which is detoxing, you should enter :)

  11. Well since this is a few days old how did it go or how is it going?
I'm quite a bread eater myself. Not 8 slices a day but usually tend to have bread with every meal one way or another.
Not much of a fruit eater but I do love a home made fruit smoothie.
I like the basket, it's pretty interesting. We always have our fruit just in a bowl or hanging bowls by the kitchen sink. Like this though because it's more of an art piece I can rest my fruit on.

Thanks for your feedback on my pictures. I really appreciate it! I'm glad you like them as well as the inspiration Tumblr posts. I enjoy both so much.

Funny that you say you have an American taste. Personally I'm more into the brands and shops you got over there. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy the pride and craftsmanship American brands have as I do myself when it comes to making product. But sometimes it's nice to be able to buy a pair of jeans for $50-$60 dollars from asos or River Island (that fit me better).

Nice to hear you got another retailer lined up. What's the latest on making a camera strap? I'd really like one if it's Point and shoot compatible if possible.

Yeah getting all the products made has been tricky. Going from one design to another, this material to that material and so on. Been a bit of work coming up with wholesale prices and so forth. We've also been working on other products as well which I'm really looking forward to releasing as well. I think I'll have a post up sooner than later for the brand/launch.
