Harrop + Penny Giveaway Winner

I made the mistake on going for a ride around the park on a freezing Winter's day. It was lovely, really peaceful stuff, there wasn't many folk about but I sure did pay for it. My hands and feet have never been so cold. When I got home my fingers were hurting like crazy, I felt like screaming. That's with two pairs of gloves on too, anyone got any tips to combat this?

Anyway, down to the meat. Thank you all for entering the Harrop + Penny Giveaway, I can now reveal the winner of the £25 gift voucher is....

Paula of Pink Bow

Well done Paula, I'll contact you via email/Twitter to arrange the gift voucher. You can now spend £25 on "quality goods for everyday tasks". Sorry to everyone who didn't win, good news though, I'll be doing another giveaway before the year turns '13. Watch out for that. Enjoy the rest of your week guys, it's just about time for mince pies and lots of mulled wine.

Beautiful photos!

Trust me, if the weather stays the way it is now, you'll be sporting shorts, flip flops and a tan while you're in town. :)

Some good cycling gloves will do the trick. Spray the with a water resistant spray as well.

Also...Nice photos!

Oh, dash it, I was hoping I'd win - but I'm still going to buy stuff from them, and I'll keep an eye out for the next competition. And I remember Paula, and Pink Bow, from when I was blogging more regularly, and I can't think of a more worthy, or lovely, winner.

Well done, Paula! If it can't be me, I'm glad it's you.

Which did she pick, btw?

I thought I was the only crazy person going out in two pair of gloves! cycling in this weather is painful, I have had to stop because of the rain.

well done to paula!

My hands and feet always get cold. They actually turn a different colour, the tips go a white/purple colour because they just become so numb! I haven't been able to combat it as of yet, there's a name for it, must just be poor circulation I reckon.

Also those photographs are beautiful - especially the first. Very peaceful.

Nice one Paula, enjoy it!

I wear a pair of thin knitted thermal gloves (designed for use in industrial freezers) as a base layer with a pair of neoprene sailing gloves on top. As for the feet, I wear winter cycling socks and neoprene overshoes. Toasty!

Congratulations, Paula! Such beautiful photos... I have absolutely no remedy against cold hands except maybe heated gloves (which I tried, and they do work, but the batteries are SO heavy).
