The Desktop Wallpaper Project

The Desktop Wallpaper Project is an ongoing collaboration between LA based design blog The Fox Is Black and a whole bunch of talented designers and photographers from around the world. Wallpapers aren't as big as they used to be, I don't think so anyway? When you get to a certain age they don't seem to be much fun anymore, be it an inspiration quote, picturesque landscape or an image you took of your pet. How about displaying some independent design work, choosing a different designer each week? I'm pretty sure that's what I'm going to do, it's going to be a great way to discover new talent, plus they're all pretty fun too, no doom and gloom.

Sweet, fun graphics created by independent design, especially for your desktop.

  4. I think the novelty of being able to change your desktop has just worn off, I've had my laptop for a year and a half and only JUST change the wallpaper from the default one, I remember being 12 and scouring the web for free wallpapers of great resolution or even making my own in paint-of my fave celebs haha

I really like these, the good news for people who love bad news made me laugh

  6. These are really nice. I appreciate the rough paper textures on some of them. Might just have to snag one of these. Funny thing my brother had the wrap your peckers one as his desktop for a while. Personally I'm liking the 4th one from the top best. Pretty good picks here.

Oh the dinosaur playing basket ball whilst also wearing some seriously snazzy shades is a winner! I really like the motrbike drawing too, I've been drawing a few vintage bicycles but that bike is far more groovified!

  13. Nice!!! I will definitely check them out. Thanks!
About your comment on my post, I think the difference between an Americano, and a Basic Black is the amount of water. The Basic Black is shorter, served in a small cup, while the Americano is the same amount of coffee, with twice of water, that´s why it´s served in a taller cup. Basically, you choose depending on how strong you like it.
Besos! and thanks for stoping by my blog ;)
