Last Week's Feet

Monday - Working in Manchester. Levi's 511s, Clarks Desert Trek, Burlington lime green socks
Tuesday - Doing some work in Nero's. Levi's 511s, YMC saddle shoes, J.Crew football socks
Wednesday - Driving test which I passed! Levi's cords, Vans, Uniqlo grey socks
Friday - Working at my third part time job. Levi's 511s, New Balance 420s, Wig Wam red marl socks
Saturday - Working from home and to the gym. Dockers khaki chinos, Storm work boots, Happy Socks striped socks

I feel like I've been mega busy this week, trying to balance 3 part-time jobs gets tricky at times but this week I had my driving test too, which I passed! It's been a massive goal for me and to final achieve it feels so good. I'm not at the position to be able to afford a car just yet but it's there when I need it. This week my target was to wear a different pair of shoes every day, that might not sound so hard to some people but because I tend to do a lot of walking I usually just go for what's comfiest. I missed 2 days out of 7 but it's not a bad effort is it?

Following on from my post last week, I mentioned that I like to jazz up my plain outfits with a bit of colour in the sock department. And it worked, somehow wearing colourful socks makes me feel happier and if it brings a smile to someone else's face then I've done my job. Along with the socks there's plenty of shoes for men on offer these days.

As I mentioned it's been a busy week, other than my jobs and driving I've been designing a logo for a new charity, a couple of store visits (another post coming soon), keeping fit and cleaning of course! Boy I need a rest.

This post includes a sponsored link, all words and thoughts are by me as usual.

Congrats on passing your driving test that's a great achievement - and you're right, even if you're not driving now in your own car it's damned handy to be able to! It's like riding a bike - you won't forget how to do it any time soon. Love this shoe idea - might have to borrow it off you for a post of my own! My favourite pair here are your Saturday pair though I have a soft spot for Vans too. I ordered three new pairs of shoes over the weekend and they had all arrived when I got home this afternoon! Two pairs of brogues from Clarks and a a pair of red sandals from Henry Holland. Roll on Spring so I can wear them all! Oh and thanks for your comment on my last post - look forward to reading more of your posts.

  2. is it bad that I really want a pair of vans? In all fairness I did wear them all through my 'goth' phase when I was about 13-15...hehe

  9. Sounds like a well-deserved break indeed! Three jobs? I barely cope with uni and one job!

Serious shoe envy (I don't think I have enough shoes to wear a different pair each day of the week... not for this weather anyway!)!

  11. I think a lot of people are in shoe ruts! I'm certainly one of them especially when it comes to working.

  12. Well done for passing! (It took me three times, ahem.) And I know exactly what you mean about wearing the same pairs all the time, although I have to admit the vast majority of my shoes have four inch heels that I wouldn't be so keen on wearing daily...

When I saw the striped socks I instantly thought of 'Where's Wally?' The days I spent searching for him in those books, great times!

Well done on your driving test again! A couple of friends passed recently and they're unable to afford a car yet also, but just think it's such a weight off your shoulders so at least the main part is out the way. The 3 jobs must be a killer but the logo design sounds really interesting, you should post it once t's completed if you're able too! When you get a bit of time to yourself just remember to grab a cuppa, sit down and have a good rest!

I've been so behind on posts lately, did you find it a lot of balance everything in your final year too? I feel a bit all over the place! I read your previous post though and now I'm swooning over all these beautiful items from Aubin and Wills. I would only buy something for a massive treat though seeing as it's a bit too rich for my blood! I bet the quality is superb though.
